I have travelled to Puerto Viejo in Costa Rica two times.
I like building sandcastles on the beach. I built a big one with three moats. One of the moats kept getting covered with water, and got destroyed. I made a flag out of a stick. I think the castle looked a bit like a toilet.
Finley and I got covered in sand when we sat on my castle. I had to wash off in the ocean.
On our trip, I got to go to the Jaguar Rescue Center. When I went into the monkey cage, one monkey climbed on me, and another monkey jumped on my head. It was fun.
We went to a bike rental place one day and got bikes. My sister and I got BMX bikes. We rode the bikes to a fruit stand, and got lots of yummy fruit. I love fruit. My favorite fruit is cocao.
We went on a night hike one night. We got to use flashlights. Mine ran out of batteries so I had to get a new one. We saw a sloth sleeping on a tree, an eyelash viper, and army ants. Two raccoons followed us for the whole hike. Their names were Robin and Hood.
We had a pool at the house we stayed at. We brought our snorkels and flippers into the pool. Finley took this picture.
One day I went zipling. The first two runs I went with a guide because I was scared. After that, I went on the rest all by myself because I was brave. I liked ziplining a lot. It was so much fun.
We also went on a chocolate forest tour. We hiked to a big wooden deck and got to eat a lot of yummy chocolate.
